Biography
From 1072 to 1080, Gerot II managed the county together with his brother, Arnaud-Bernard. In 1073, both brothers fought together with Santiul, Viscount de Lescar.
Around 1070, Count Gerot married Azivella (Avisella) de Loman (died 1086), daughter of Odon II, Viscount de Loman, widow of Gerot I, Senor d'Aubessan. ( Father Anselm believes that she was the widow of Bernard, the lord de La Fors, but the Viscount de Loman’s pedigree mentions another daughter of the Viscount Odon II de Loman, Asselin, who was the wife of this lord since 1065 ). After her death, Gerot II married a second time to Sansia de Luppe, daughter of Arcieux, Senor de La Pujol, and the widow of the Viscount de Corneyan.
All his children were from his first marriage:
- Bernard III (died 1110) - Count of d'Armagnac
- Gero - canon of the church of St. Mary of Osh.
- Guillaume - died in the early years.
Gero II was buried in the church of St. Mary of Osh, which he has been patronizing all his life.
