Jesús Гарngel García Bragado ( Spanish: Jesús Ángel García Bragado , born October 17, 1969 , Madrid , Spain ) is a Spanish track and field athlete walking 20 and 50 km. World Champion 1993 walking 50 km. Included in the number of athletes with the most participation in the Olympic Games is 7 (1992–2016) [1] [2] [3] .

Biography and career
Jesús Бngel García Bragado was born on October 17, 1969 in Madrid. From 1997 to 2008, he was married to the Spanish gymnast Carmen Asedo . The couple has two daughters.
He made his international debut in 1991 at the Universiade in Sheffield , where he became fifth at a distance of 20 km. In 1993, he won the World Cup in Stuttgart at a distance of 50 km. Later three times became the silver medalist of the world championships (1997, 2001, 2009). Twice became the winner of the European Championships - in 2002 - bronze, in 2006 - silver. Four times won the European Cup in race walking (1996, 1998, 2000, 2001), several times became a prize winner. Jesus was the closest to the Olympic medal in 2008, when he took 4th place in Beijing.
