Biography

Born in 1912 in s. Malaya Bekushevka Voroshilovgrad region. He graduated from the seven-year school. From 1933 he began working in the mines of Donbass. He was a machinist of the cutting machine. In 1942 he was evacuated to the Perm Region and entered the machine operator at Mine No. 6, Kapitalnaya.

The master machine notch, Grigorenko constantly took care of a more complete use of technology, bravely took up the improvement of mechanisms. One of his most significant achievements was the idea of ​​lengthening the drill of the iron machine. There was a real opportunity to increase labor productivity, which attracted the attention of all the machine operators of the basin. Following the example of a noble mechanic, many began to work. Grigorenko constantly sought hidden reserves, the possibility of increasing coal output. Monthly production of the best machinists reached 13-14 thousand tons of coal.

He was an energetic social activist, was elected deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.

The title of Hero of Socialist Labor was awarded in 1957.

He was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Labor Red Banner, "Badge of Honor".

In 1958, D.T. Grigorenko was transferred to the Donbass to the mine of the Selidovugol Trust.
