Martina Caironi ( Italian Martina Caironi , born September 13, 1989 , Alzano Lombardo , Italy ) is an Italian athlete who performs long jump and short distance running in the T42 class. Two-time Paralympic champion in the 100 meter race (2012, 2016) [2] [3] . Four-time world champion (2013, 2015, 2017) and four-time European champion (2014, 2016, 2018 - twice).

Biography and career
In 2007, she had an accident on a motorcycle, as a result of which she suffered a high-hip amputation of her left leg [4] . She began professionally involved in athletics in 2010, playing for the Italian Financial Guard club. As part of the Paralympic national team of Italy, she participated in two summer Paralympic Games (2012, 2016) [5] . She graduated from the University of Milan with a degree in linguistics [6] .
