Biography
Florence David was born in Aberdeen , between the ages of 7 and 18 lived in Edinburgh. Studied at Roseburn Primary School and at Stewarts Melville College secondary school. Rowing started at the age of 14 years. Studied at the University of Nottingham. His father was a Scottish canoe champion, his brother also did canoeing.
In 2005, Florence took 4th place at the European Championships, at the World Championships of the same year he took 15th place. In 2006, he won a gold medal at the World Championships in Augsburg. In 2009, in the discipline C-2, together with Richard Hounslow won silver in the team competition C-2. In 2013, he won 2 gold medals (C-1 and C-2) and one bronze (C-2, team) at the World Championships in Prague.
In 2009, he became the first in the world championship in the discipline C-1. Florence also has seven European Championship medals (1 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronzes).
