Special symbols

Special characters ( English Specials ) - the 161st unit of the Unicode standard and the last one in the Main multilingual plane . It occupies code positions from U + FFF0 to U + FFFF. Of the sixteen code positions contained in the block, only five are involved. The block is notable for the filler character ( ), referring to the two most frequently used Unicode characters, which are displayed in most operating systems (mostly in browsers) when a Unicode character is not supported by the user's system itself or is not included in the font set. In other cases, a white vertical rectangle (▯) is displayed instead of the placeholder symbol.
