Biography
Constantine was the son of Constantine II, Prince of Mukhransky (1696-1700, d. 1716 ), and Princess Nino Amilahvari . He was the military leader and vassal of the Georgian kings Teimuraz II and Heraclius II . Konstantin served as Governor ( Mouravi ) of Tbilisi .
As a measure against the predatory raids of Lezgins, Konstantin Bagration-Mukhransky fortified the fortresses of Ksani , Mchadijvari and Shiosubani . In 1749, he participated in a successful military expedition of Georgian kings in defense of the Erivan Khanate from the Turkic tribe Terekem . In 1754 - 1755, Konstantin took part in the defense of the Georgian borders from the Avar Khanate . He was killed in a skirmish with Dagestanis in 1756 and was buried in the cathedral of Mtskheta . Due to the infancy of his sons, the princely throne in Mukhran was taken by his relative, Simon Levanovich Bagration-Mukhransky (1726-1785), who ruled in 1756 - 1778 .
