Congress ASSITES
The governing body of the association is the general assembly held within the framework of the ASSITEG congress once every three years.
The General Assembly elects the President of the international ASSITEJ and the Executive Committee, which meets twice a year. The ASSITEG Congress was held in Cape Town , Warsaw , Prague , Lyon , Madrid , Adelaide , Seoul , Rostov-on-Don , Albany [1] and others.
The International Organization carries out its work through the national centers of member countries of the ASSITEZH. Today it is 84 countries [2] .
Russian Center ASSITEZH
The Russian center (formerly Soviet) began its work from the first days of the creation of the ASSITEZH. The first president of the center was K. Ya. Shakh-Azizov, Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR, director of the Central Children's Theater in Moscow, which took an active part in the creation of this international organization, he was also elected president of the international ASSITES. Later, this post was occupied by the People's Artist of the USSR, the creator of the world's first professional children's musical theater, N. I. Sats .
From 1990 to the present day, the president of the Russian center ASSITEZH is one of the leading theater directors in Russia Adolf Shapiro .
