Nikolai Nikolaevich Bokarius ( 1899 - 1966 ) - Soviet scientist - lawyer , candidate of medical sciences , professor, head of the department of forensic science and forensic science (1939-1941). The son of Nikolai Sergeevich Bokarius [1] .

Biography
Born on June 14 ( 26 ), 1899 in Kharkov . 1924 graduated from the medical faculty of the Imperial Kharkov University . In 1930-1931, he was an assistant, and from 1931 to 1966, he was the head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Kharkov Medical Institute (now the Kharkov National Medical University ). In 1931-1949 he headed the Kharkov Institute of Forensic Science and at the same time (1939-1941) the Department of Criminalistics and Forensics of the Kharkov Law Institute.
He died on November 2, 1966 in Kharkov.
Scientific activity
The main topics of his research interests are gunshot injuries and the methods of forensic and forensic research. Prepared 4 doctors and 26 candidates of law.
Published about 200 scientific papers. The main ones are:
- “Microdiagnosis of the inlet skin bullet hole during the forensic examination of the corpse”
- "New in the methodology of forensic and forensic research"
- “Lectures on forensic medicine”
- "Information for practical exercises on the study of damage to individual organs"
He devoted his whole life to the development of forensic medicine and the introduction of the results of scientific research into practice. He paid great attention to improving the educational process, developing new principles and methods of students' independent work. He devoted much effort and knowledge to the organization and development of the forensic service in Ukraine.
Over the years, he was a member of the board of the All-Union Scientific Society of Forensic Physicians, the editorial board of the journal Forensic Medical Examination, and was elected a member of the Dzerzhinsky District Council. Kharkov.
Rewards
He was awarded the orders of the Red Banner of Labor , Lenin , and the medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."
