Lyudmila Dmitrievna Shevchenko ( Ukrainian: Lyudmila Dmitrievna Shevchenko , born February 4, 1970 in Svetlograd ) is a Russian and Ukrainian handball player, bronze medalist of the 2004 Summer Olympics in the Ukrainian team. Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine.

Biography
A pupil of the Soviet handball, played for the team “Source” [1] , also known as “Rostselmash” , from Rostov-on-Don, with whom she won the USSR championship. In Yugoslavia, she played for Buduchnost from Podgorica under the direction of A.P. Panov . Later moved to the "Motor" from Zaporozhye [2] . Three times won the Cup Winners Cup.
For 10 years, Lyudmila Shevchenko played for the Russian team, but she did not qualify for the team of Evgeny Trefilov . She quickly gained Ukrainian citizenship in 2003, appeared in the Ukrainian team at the Athens Olympics and won a bronze medal there. Upon returning to Kiev, she was awarded a magnificent reception and awarded the Order of Princess Olga of the III degree: the order was personally presented to her by Viktor Yanukovych .
Lyudmila Shevchenko completed her playing career after the Olympics, having returned to Rostov. Currently, he is a sports teacher [3] , teaches at the Children's Art School No. 6 and secondary school No. 100 in Rostov-on-Don. Graduate of the Kharkov State Institute of Physical Culture. Married, has a son [4] .
