Georgy Pavlovich Rostiashvili - Soviet sambo wrestler and freestyle wrestler , champion and medalist of the USSR sambo championships, medalist of the USSR freestyle wrestling championship, USSR Master of Sports (1948), Honored Trainer of the USSR (1965). He became interested in wrestling in 1942. Member of seven USSR freestyle wrestling championships. In 1952 he began coaching. He trained more than 50 masters of sports of the USSR . Judge of the All-Union Category (1967). Honored Worker of Culture of the Georgian SSR (1971).
