Poruchin ( Belor. Paruchyn [1] ) is a village in the Baranavichy district of the Brest region of Belarus . It is part of the Gorodishchensky village council .

Geography
The village is located in the north of the Baranavichy district, 7 km north from the center of the village council - agro-town Gorodishche , 30 km north from the regional center - the city of Baranovichi .
History
In 1783, a church with a throne was built in the village in the name of the Protection of the Holy Virgin [2] .
After the 2nd division of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1793, the village became part of the Russian Empire ( Minsk province ). From 1921 to 1939 the village was in the possession of Poland , from 1939 it was included in the Byelorussian SSR [2] .
In 1970, the neighboring village of Krivoye Selo [2] was attached to Poruchin.
Population
In 1886, 350 people lived in the village, in 1897 - 291, in 1921 - 175, in 1939 - 280, in 1959 - 303, in 1998 - 101 [2] . The population in 2005 was 72 people [2] .
