Ramon Rodriguez ( born Ramon Rodriguez ; December 20, 1979 , Rio Piedras , Puerto Rico ) is an American film actor of Puerto Rican descent. He is best known for his roles in the television series Listening (2006-2008) and New Day (2006-2007), as well as in the films Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Dangerous Train Passengers 123 .

Life and career
Rodriguez was born in Puerto Rico, and grew up on the Lower East Side in Manhattan [3] [4] . He studied at New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies and at The Leelanau School in Michigan , where he played basketball . He continued to play basketball for two years at Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia , until moving to New York University , where he earned a degree in sports marketing [5] . He has three older sisters, as well as three younger brothers (who live in Puerto Rico ) [6] .
Rodriguez began his career in 2005 when he played in two episodes in the movie Carlito 2: The Rise to Power and in the television series Save Me . Then he continued to act in such television series as “ Law and Order: Special Corps ”, “ wiretap ” and “ New Day ”. He has also appeared in films such as Bella, Pride and Glory , Surfer , Dangerous Passengers of Train 123 , and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen . He appeared in a minor role as John Bosley in the television series Charlie's Angels [7] [8] .
In 2013, he received the lead role of detective Ryan Lopez in the television series Crime Connections of Fox Channel [9] . The series was broadcast in 2014 and was closed after one season [10] .
In 2014, he received the role of Joe Peck in the film " Need for Speed: Thirst for Speed " [11] . In 2016, he received one of the main roles in the television series “Burn Your Maps”, along with Vera Farmiga and Virginia Madsen . He will also play a major male role in the biographical film "Leavey", along with Kate Mara [12] . In the same year, he joined the cast of the television series " Defenders " in the role of Bakuto [13] .
