Biography
He studied with his father, the medalist Pierre-Joseph Thiogliet , as well as the medalist Roman-Vincent Gefroy and the sculptor Claude Dejou.
In 1816 he changed his father to the post of general engraver of coins and held this position until 1843.
He created a series of stamps of the walking and trial coins of kings Louis XVIII , Charles X and Louis-Philippe I , as well as many medals: portrait, visit the mint, various institutions.
Commander of the Order of the Legion of Honor (1821), officer of the Order of the Legion of Honor (1825) [2] .
