Parliamentary Elections in Azerbaijan (1995-1996)

The elections to the National Assembly of Azerbaijan were held on November 12 (first round) and November 26 (second round) in 1995. In 15 single-member districts, the results were, for various reasons, canceled; The re-election was held on February 4, 1996. On February 18, 1996, a second vote was also taken in the nationwide constituency. The New Azerbaijan Party won the election, gaining 59 out of 125 seats in the National Assembly. Voter turnout in the nationwide constituency was 86.1%.
