Biography
Born October 9, 1916 in Canoe [ clarify ] . In 1936 he entered the University of Tokyo , which he graduated in 1941. The administration left the graduate at home, where he began practicing teaching until 1956. In 1956 he moved to the United States and immediately got a job at the Medical School at the University of Niigata, where he served until 1962 as a professor of physiology, at the same time, from 1959 to 1961 he lectured at the University of Utah. In 1962 he moved to Germany , where he briefly worked at the University of Heidelberg . In the same year, he returned to his homeland and returned to his native Tokyo University, where he until 1977 held the position of professor of physiology. In 1977 he was elected director of the National Institute of Physiological Sciences in Okazaki .

Scientific Works
The main scientific works are devoted to electron microscopy of the nervous system of cold and warm-blooded animals.
- 1965 - He proposed to use a number of structural electron-microscopic features to divide the CNS synapses into excitatory and inhibitory.
