Heathens

“Heathens” is a song recorded by the American duo Twenty One Pilots and released as the main single of the soundtrack for Suicide Squad in July 2016 via Atlantic Records and Warner Bros. Records [2] [3] . The song was written by Tyler Joseph and produced with Mike Elizondo.

Single Story

July 20, 2016 Twenty One Pilots posted a tweet encoded in Morse code (- .- -.-. .. - ... .- .. - .--), which read Takeitslow (Lyrics from the lyrics), but on the same day the song leaked to the Internet, and on the same day the song was shown as the soundtrack to "Suicide Squad." [four]

 When I wrote this song, I wanted it to be similar to what we wrote earlier, but caused a resonance among our fans, because this is the point of the show. Despite the fact that I was inspired by the beginning of the film, I can say for sure that this is our song. [five] 

Commercial Success

The song took fourth place on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the second hit of the duo, which entered the top 100. The song also reached the top of the Hot Rock Songs chart.

Music video

The single for the single was released on June 21, 2016.

Live performances

The group debuted with the song “Heathens” for the first time in Charlotte, North Carolina. [6]
