Philippe of Cleves ( French: Philippe de Clèves , Dutch: Filips van Kleef , 1459 , Le Kenois - January 28, 1528 ) - owner of Ravenstein and Angien , Dutch military leader of the 15th and early 16th centuries , Admiral of the Netherlands , Advisor to the Holy Roman Emperor Empire Maximilian .

Philip of Cleves was the great-grandson of John the Fearless and the son of a Portuguese princess. At the age of eighteen, he was appointed military governor of Flanders.
In 1485 he married Francoise Luxembourg.
In 1486, Philip became part of the government of the Burgundian Netherlands . He took part in the suppression of the uprising in Ypres, Bruges and Ghent, but then he himself opposed Maximilian. In the fight against the empire, Philip was defeated, was expelled from the empire and entered the French service, where he became vice-king of Genoa.
After retiring, he took up military theory, hunting and philanthropy.
He was buried in Brussels .
