Biography

Pyotr Bondar was born around 1885 in the village of Novaya Zburyevka of the Dnieper district of the Tauride province in the family of a peasant Nikolai Bondar. [1] After receiving education at a local public school , at the age of 13, Peter went to work as a laborer and then a clerk.

In 1905-1909, Pyotr Nikolaevich joined the Party of Socialist Revolutionaries (RPS) [2] and became a member of its Odessa Regional Committee. He led party work in the Alexandria district , where he campaigned among the peasants. He was arrested several times “for incitement” and in 1908 he was expelled by court order to Izmail . In 1909-1917 he lived in his native village, where he served in a credit partnership.

After the February Revolution , in 1917, Peter Bondar became a comrade (deputy) of the Dnieper County Commissioner. He was also elected chairman of the county land council and county council of peasant deputies . In the same year he was elected to the Constituent Assembly in the Tauride constituency from the Social Revolutionaries and the Council of Peasant Deputies (list No. 5). January 5, 1918 Pyotr Nikolaevich became participants in the famous meeting-dispersal of the Assembly.

In the future, his traces are lost: the role in the Civil War is not clear.
