Biography

Yakov Bogoslovov was born on October 20, 1881 in the village of Novo-Nikolskoye of the Krasnoslobodsky uyezd of the Penza province [1] in the family of deacon Arkady Bogoslovov [2] . He entered and studied for some time at the Penza Theological Seminary , but was forced to leave school without graduation, for lack of funds to pay. He went to work as a proofreader in the Volzhskoe Slovo newspaper in Samara .

In 1902 he was under the supervision of the police . Politically, he first became close to the anarchists , then to the Socialist-Revolutionaries . He was arrested by the police in 1905 with the wording “for the incitement of the peasants” [3] and spent a year in prison in a fortress. By decision of the court, Yakov Bogoslovov was exiled to the Arkhangelsk province , but fled from the place of exile. Since 1911 he lived in an illegal situation.

After the February Revolution, he was elected chairman of the Buzuluk district zemstvo council . In 1917 he was elected to the Constituent Assembly in the Samara constituency from the Socialist Revolutionaries and the Council of Peasant Deputies (list No. 3). January 5, 1918 became participants in the famous meeting-dispersal of the Assembly.

In 1918 he became a member of COMUCH [2] . In the future, his traces are lost: the role in the Civil War is not clear.
