Content
Club career
Whitfield began his career playing for Duke University football team for three years.
In 1999, Evan was selected for the draft by the Chicago Fire Club, but decided to try his hand in Europe and accepted the offer of the Belgian Gent . Due to high competition, he was unable to break into the base and six months later he returned to Chicago, for which he debuted in the MLS . In 2000 and 2003, Whitfield helped the club reach the MLS Cup final and win the Lamar Hunt Cup . In 2005, he left the team and moved to Real Salt Lake . In the same year, Evan ended his career.
International Career
In 1999, Whitfield won bronze at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg . In 2000, Evan, as part of the US Olympic team, took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney . In the tournament he played in matches against the Japanese team [2] .
