Hai Bà Trưng is one of the twelve urban areas (quận) that make up Hanoi . Area - 10 square meters. km, population - 303 thousand people [1] . It is one of the most populated areas of Hanoi, named after the Ching sisters ( Vietnamese. Hai Bà Tràng ) .

Content
Geography
Haibaching district is located southeast of the center of Hanoi. In the north, it borders the Hoankiem district, in the east - with the Longbien region (the border runs along the Khongha River), in the south - with the Hoangmai region, in the south-west - with the Thansuang region, in the west - with the Dongda region.
In the northwestern part of the region is Lake Thienkuang ( Vietnam. Thiền Quang ) , during the French government called Ale ( fr. Halais ) , around it is a park recreation area. In the center of the district is the Youth Park with cafes, karaoke clubs, beaches, sports and playgrounds.
Around the lake Baimau ( vietn. Bảy Mẫu ) there is an extensive Thongnat park ( vietn. Thống Nhất ) , adjacent to the Central Vietnamese circus and a large underground parking [2] .

At present, the Haybachyng district includes 20 blocks (phường) - Batdang ( Viet Nam. Bạch Đằng), Batkhoa ( Viet Nam. Bách Khoa), Batmay ( Viet Nam. Bạch Mai), Buythisuan ( Viet Nam. Bùi Thị Xuân), Cowes ( Vietnam Cầu Dền ) , Dongmak ( Vietnamese Đống Mác ) , Dongñán ( Viet Nam ng Nhân ) , Dongtam ( Vietnamese Đồng Tâm ) , Ledaihan ( Viet Nam Lê Đại Hành ) , Minkhai ( Viet Nam Minh Khai , Ah, Ah, Ah, Yay, North Korea ) . Economy
The district is actively building high-rise office and residential complexes, as well as large hotels, shopping centers and logistics complexes. Among such multifunctional (residential, commercial and office) complexes are the multi-storey Vincom City Towers [3] , Hoàng Thành Tower, Times City [4] , Park Hill, Skylight Residence and Hoa Binh Green City. In retail trade, there are shopping centers (Vincom Mega Mall Times City, Homemart Vincom, Diamond Plaza) and supermarket chains (Vinmart, Fivimart).
Despite the new retail formats, the main flea market in Hanoi - Zoya ( Vietnamese. Chợ Gii ) or Choi ( Vietnamese. Chợ Trời ) , as well as the food markets Nguyenkongchi ( Vietnamese. Nguyễn Công Trứ ) , Dongtam ( Vietnamese Đồng Tâm ) continue to play an important role . ) , Batkhoa ( vietn. Bách Khoa ) , Quinmai ( vietn. Quỳnh Mai ) and Vinthui ( vietn. Vĩnh Tuy ) . The flea market, founded in the mid-1950s, specializes in the sale of household utensils, household electrical appliances and electronics, parts for cars, motorcycles and bicycles. Earlier, stolen and smuggled goods were often sold on the market [5] [6] .
In the area there are hotels Nikko Hanoi, Sunway [7] , Nesta, Công Đoàn, Parkside Sunline, Azumaya, Le Grand Hà Nội, Hanoi Sahul, as well as a large exhibition, office and co-working complex Hanoi Creative City. Textile and food factories, as well as numerous craft and repair shops have been preserved in the old quarters. In addition, in many places of the district, quarters of dilapidated housing, scheduled for demolition by the authorities [8] [9] , as well as neighborhoods regularly affected by floods, remain [10] .
Transportation
A transport corridor passes through the territory of the district of Haibaching, which serves as a continuation of National Highway No. 1A (it connects Lang Son with Kamau , and within Greater Hanoi connects the city center with the province of Khanam ). In parallel, the highway runs the main railway line of Vietnam, connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City .

In 2010, as part of a large-scale program dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of Hanoi , the 3.7-kilometer Vintui Road Bridge ( Viet . Cầu Vĩnh Tuy ) was opened across the Hongha River, connecting Haibaching with Longbyen .
Culture
The district has a Buddhist temple called Haybaching ( Vietnamese Đền Hai Bà Trung or Chùa Hai Bà Trung ) , dedicated to the legendary Ching sisters . According to tradition, the temple was founded in the second half of the XII century by Emperor Lee An-tong , to whom the sisters appeared as rain. At that time, the patriotic cult of the Ching sisters was actively forming, and the temple became an important shrine of this cult. The altar of the temple depicts the violent death of sisters in battle, and not their suicide, which the uprising ended according to legend.
Also in the area are the Buddhist temples Vua ( Viet . Vua ) of the XVI century, Lienfay ( Viet Nam . Liên Phái ) of the XVIII century, Thienkwang ( Viet . T. Thiền Quang ) of the XIX century, Quangkhoa ( Viet . Quang Hoa ) , Tientien ( Viet . Chân Tiên ) , Fuklam ( Vietnam. Phúc Lâm), Vanha ( Vietnam. Vân Hồ), Venmin ( Vietnam. Viên Minh), Linshon ( Vietnam. Linh Sơn), Hokuok ( Vietnam. Hộ Quốc), Hyngki ( Vietnam. Hưng Ký), Hyongtuet ( Vietnamese. Hương Tuyết ) , Quinn ( Vietnamese. Quỳnh ) , Chungti Catholic Church ( Vietnamese. Trung Chí ) , Library of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Korean Cultural Center. Many temples and other architectural monuments are surrounded by dense residential buildings and are gradually destroyed, and their restoration is hampered due to lack of funds [11] .
In Haibaching several religious holidays and folk festivals are held, dedicated to the local "saints" (heroes popular with the population) and patron deities of the area. In the Donggnan quarter, a feast of the same name temple takes place, dedicated to the Ching sisters (accompanied by a sacrifice ceremony and a lamp-worship dance). In Fohue quarter, the Vua pagoda festival is held, dedicated to De Thity ( Vietnamese Đế Thích ) - the “king” of Xiangqi (accompanied by sacrifice, other religious ceremonies and playing chess) [12] .
Education
The area is based on the Hanoi University of Science and Technology [13] , the Hanoi University of Business and Technology, the University of Economics and Industrial Engineering [14] , the National Economic University [15] , the National University of Civil Engineering [16] , the Hanoi University of Pharmacy, the Hanoi Open University [ 17] , the Phuong Dong University campuses ( Vietnamese Phương Đông ) [18] and the Vietnam University of the Arts [19] .
Healthcare
Central Military Hospital No. 108 (former Lanessan Hospital of the French colonial army), Hanoi Oncology Hospital, Hanoi Hospital of Pulmonary Diseases, Vinmec International Hospital, Australian Dental Clinic are based in Haibaching.
