Louise Dorothy Ritter ( born February 18, 1958 , Dallas , Texas , USA ) is a former American high jumper , 1988 Olympic champion [1] [2] , bronze medalist at the 1983 World Cup , Pan American champion games of 1979 .

Biography and career
She graduated from Red Oak High School. In 1981, she graduated from Texas Women's University in Denton, and in 1988, after winning the Olympics, was included in his hall of fame [3] .
Four times won the US championship in the open air (1978, 1983, 1985, 1986) [4] and five times indoors (1979, 1980, 1983, 1988, 1989) [5] . In 1995, she was inducted into the US Athletics Hall of Fame [6] .
