“Zehn kleine Jägermeister” ( Russian “Ten Little Hunters” ) is the fourth single of the German punk rock band Die Toten Hosen from the band’s ninth studio album, “Opium fürs Volk”. Released in September 1996 and became the group’s most successful song, taking first places in the charts of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Song
“Zehn kleine Jägermeister” is a philosophical-parody reinterpretation of the children's account of ten negroes known from the novel of the same name by Agatha Christie . In this case, the song lyrics - unlike the reading room - are looped: the last verse, with the exception of one line, exactly repeats the first.
Musically, the song is divided into 2 fragments of different styles: the chorus is designed in the reggae style, and the chorus is a table song arranged in the style of “punk”.
Video
The clip shot for the song by director Ralph Schmerberg is an animated video designed in the style of cartoons for adults (animation artist Andreas Hikade), literally illustrating the text, while the roles of the characters in the song are played by deer ; in the chorus, the band’s musicians themselves appear as animated characters.
