History

In 1278, Act-Pareage was signed between Count Foix and Bishop of Urhelsky , according to which they shared power in the valley. During the First French Republic , after France renounced co-government, the bishop of Urhel was considered the only ruler of Andorra. In 1993, Andorra adopted its constitution and was adopted by the UN . Andorra, Spain and France signed a trilateral agreement on good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation [2] [3] .

Andorra does not have its own armed forces, the defense of the principality, if necessary, will be carried out by the forces of Spain and France [4] . Currently, the co-rulers of Andorra are the bishop of Urhel Joan Henrique Vives y Sicilia and French President Francois Hollande .
