History
PILLOW - the village of Novinsky society, the parish of the Kapetsk graveyard. Kapsha and Yavosma rivers.

The number of inhabitants according to the family lists of 1879: 16 m. P.; according to the parish information of 1879: 12 m. n [2]
In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Kuzminsky volost of the 2nd zemsky section of the 2nd camp of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province .
According to 1933, the village of Navolok was part of the Zaborovsky village council of the Kapshinsky district of the Leningrad region [3] .
According to the data of 1966 and 1973, the village of Navolok was part of the Mikhalevsky village council [4] [5] .
According to 1990, the village of Navolok was part of the Gankovsky village council [6] .
In 1997, 33 people lived in the village of Navolok of the Gankovsky volost, in 2002 - 20 people (Russians - 70%) [7] [8] .
In 2007, 8 people lived in the village of Navolok Gankovsky JV , in 2010 - 15 [9] [10] .
Geography
The village is located in the central part of the region south of the highway 41K019 ( Gankovo - Yavshinitsy ).
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 12 km [9] .
The distance to the nearest railway station is Tikhvin - 55 km [4] .
The village is located on the right bank of the Pasha River, opposite the mouth of the Yavosma River .
