David Claparède ( fr. David Claparède ; February 6, 1727 , Geneva - June 12, 1801 , ibid.) - a Swiss Protestant theologian .
He studied at the University of Geneva, in 1761 - 1790 . was a pastor in Geneva . In 1763 - 1798 also a university professor, in 1770 - 1774 his rector.
The most famous was the work of Claparéd, Reflections on Gospel Miracles ( fr. Considérations sur les miracles de l'Evangile ; 1765 ), directed against the skeptical considerations of Jean-Jacques Rousseau on this subject, expressed last in Lettres écrites de la Montagne .
