Career
At the Olympics, he made his debut in Montreal in 1976, where he performed in the discipline "skit" . In the main round of 200 targets hit 198, having missed once on the first and second day of competition. A similar result was shown by the Dutch shooter Eric Swinkels , who shared the first place with Panachek. The fate of the gold medal was decided in a shootout, which dragged on to 50 shots. As a result, the Dutchman missed and lost a shootout to the Czechoslovakian with a score of 50-49.
Having become European champion in 1980, Panachek made an attempt to defend the title of Olympic champion, but failed in Moscow - he hit 194 out of 200 targets and took only 11th place with this result.
