Sporting Achievements
He played for the team of the GDR. A participant in the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics, where he took second and fourth places in team gymnastics competitions, respectively. His best individual achievement at the Olympics was ninth in vaulting in 1988 [1] . At the 1991 World Championships in Gymnastics, he won a gold and bronze medal [2] , and won four medals at the European Championships in 1990, 1992 and 1994 [3] .
He currently works as a locksmith in Hanover , trains athletes at a local gymnastics club.
