Siraba Dembélé ( fr. Siraba Dembélé , born June 28, 1986 in Dreux ) is a French handball player of Malian origin, leftmost Russian club Rostov-Don (since 2016) and the French team [1] [2] .

Club
Siraba grew up in the town of Saint-Lubin-de-Jonchere , came to handball in 1996 at the suggestion of her older sister Camion and trainer Alain Marchais. She began her career in the youth team of the city of Chartres, the first professional team was the “Valle d'Avre” from the 3rd division of France. Then Siraba spent one season for the club "Dre" from the same hometown. In 2004, she joined the Merignac team, which played in the top division of France. In 2008, with the team, Sirab reached the final of the Challenge Cup. The next club was “Issy-les-Moulineaux”, which Siraba left at the end of the 2008/2009 season, then moved to “Toulon”, with whom she became the champion of France and twice won the national cup.
In 2012, Dembele moved to the Danish club Randers, which was then coached by Jan Leslie, and became the bronze medalist of the Danish championship. At the end of the season she went to the Macedonian “Vardar” [3] . On February 17, 2014, Siraba and two more of her compatriots, Alison Pino and Amandin Leino , extended the contract with the club until 2016 [4] . On February 15, 2016, Siraba Dembele signed a contract with the Russian Rostov-Don team [5] .
Team
Siraba played 175 games for the national team, scoring 568 goals [6] . As part of the national team, she became the silver medalist of the 2016 Olympics, twice the silver medalist of the world championships of 2009 and 2011, as well as the bronze medalist of the European championships of 2006 and 2016 . She played her first game on May 26, 2006 against the Turkish team . Since 2013, Sirab has been the permanent captain of the French team [7] .
Personal life
Sirab's favorite music is African with Malian motives, her favorite singer is Ami Koita. Before the start of each match, Sirab necessarily drives a handball around the court like a football player [8] .
