History

The Olonchai Manor is mentioned in the census of 1710 in the Dmitrovsky Kapetsk graveyard of the Nagorny half of the Obonezhsky Pyatina [2] .

As the village of Afonasovo, it is mentioned on the map of Novgorod governorship of 1792 by A. M. Wilbrecht [3] .

From 1917 to 1918, the village of Olonchana was part of the Kunevich volost of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province.

Since 1928, as part of the Ereminogorsk Village Council [6] .

According to 1933, the village was called Olonchena and was part of the Ereminogorsk Village Council of the Kapshinsky District of the Leningrad Region [7] .

In 1940, the population of the village was 139 people.

In 1958, the population of the village was 88 people.

According to the data of 1966 and 1973, the village was called Oloncheno and was part of the Ereminogorsk Village Council [8] [9] .

According to 1990, the village was called Olonchino and was also part of the Ereminogorsk Village Council [10] .

In 1997, 12 people lived in the village of Oloncheno, Ereminogorsk volost, in 2002 - 21 people (Russian - 95%) [11] [12] .

In 2007, 11 people lived in the village of Oloncheno Gankovsky JV , in 2010 - 9 [13] [14] .

Geography

The village is located in the northern part of the district on the highway 41А-009 ( Lodeynoye Pole - Tikhvin - Chudovo ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 18 km [13] .

The distance to the nearest railway station is Tikhvin - 64 km [8] .

The village is located on the right bank of the Kapsha River.
