In 1867 he graduated from Kiev University , was with him a laboratory assistant in chemistry and a prosector of medical chemistry. In 1873 he defended his doctoral dissertation "Materials for the physiology of digestion and assimilation of protein substances" (Kiev, 1873) and was sent for a two-year trip abroad. After returning, he lectured in pathological chemistry for several years. In 1886 - 1889 he headed the Department of Medical Chemistry at Kiev University. The main works are devoted to the physiology of digestion. In addition to articles in the Proceedings of Congresses of Russian Doctors, Kistyakovsky published: Ein Beitrag zur Charakteristik Pancreas Pepton (Arch. F. Ges. Phys., 1875 ). Since 1887 - retired.
