Biography
He graduated from the course of law at the University of Helmstedt in 1795 and was invited to Russia as a mentor in a private house. He withstood the test at Moscow University and received a doctorate in law (1808). in 1811 he was appointed chief superintendent of the Moscow Commercial Academy (1811). He was elected director of the school at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Michael (1812). He was identified as a teacher of German literature at the University noble guesthouse (1818). Lecturer at Moscow University (1823-1834). Contained a boarding school for children, considered the best in Moscow (1819-1838). For the management of this guesthouse, Kister repeatedly received gratitude from the Ministry of Education and was awarded the Order of St. Anna of the 3rd degree. Secular judge in the Moscow Evangelical Lutheran Consistory (since 1838). A deputy from the nobility at the commission of the building in Moscow (1841-1845).
He published a number of textbooks and collections, exercises for learning the German language, which have withstood several editions (1833-1847):
- "Handbuch der Geschichte und Charakteristik der schönen Litteratur der Deutschen" (M., 1833 )
- “Friend of Children” (for learning German, 8th ed., M., 1877 )
F.I. Kister left a grateful memory of himself both with his many students and his colleagues.
