Career

Gregory was born in a sports family. His parents - Arkady Eduardovich and Galina Anatolyevna - work as trainers. She has been swimming since she was six years old.

At the 2013 European Youth Championships, he won three gold (50 and 100 meters at the back and a 4x100 meters complex relay) and one silver (200 meters at the back). At the 2013 World Youth Championships, he won gold at a distance of 50 meters at the back, bronze - at 100 meters and silver - in the integrated relay.

Bronze medalist of the championship of Russia in 2014 at a distance of 200 meters on the back. Silver and bronze medalist of the championship of Russia in 2015.

At the European Championships in 2016 won two medals. Participated in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . At a distance of 100 meters on the back was ninth with a score of 53.46 s.

At the World Championships in Budapest , 100 meters backstroke was fifth, swimming the distance in 53.12.
