My brother's stepfather, Alexander Ivanovich Vuich, was the secretary of the Prince of Oldenburg and cared for me very much. He was a free man, a bachelor, and all his life was devoted to his mother. Thanks to his connections, I found a place with the merchant Vtorov, but his business only lasted a few months and snapped.
