LC-34 ( Eng.Air Force Station Launch Complex 34 ) is a launch complex located at the US Air Force Base at Cape Canaveral in Florida . The LC-34 platform was used by NASA to launch the Saturn-1 and Saturn-1B launch vehicles from 1961 to 1968, as part of the Apollo program . January 27, 1967, during the ground tests of Apollon-1, a fire occurred at the launch complex, astronauts V. Grissom, E. White and R. Chaffee died in the fire.

Current status
Launch Pad 2009
After the decommissioning of the LC-34, the ground structures were leveled, leaving only the launch pad, it serves as a memorial to the dead Apollo 1 crew.
