Biography
Christopher George Charles Neville was born April 23, 1955 in the family of Lord Rupert Charles Montequette Neville and Lady Anne Camilla Evelyn, nee Wollop. On his father's side, he is the grandson of , 4th Marquis of Abergavenny and Lady Isabelle Nelly, nee Larnaca. On the mother’s side, he is the grandson of , 9th Earl of Portsmouth and Mary Lawrence, née Post [1] .
He attended Harrow School in Harrow in London . After completing his education, in the 1970s he lived and worked in Hamburg, in Germany. When he returned, in 1985 he married Venetia Maynard (born 1958), the daughter of Frederick Gerard Maynard from Chelsea in London and Olivia, nee Reed. Spouses gave birth to twins [1] :
- George Rupert Gerard Neville (June 27, 1990 - September 15, 1990), died shortly after birth;
- Sophie Alice Augusta Neville (born June 27, 1990), is currently a musician and performs under the pseudonym Sophie Trilby [2] [3] . If the marquis does not give birth to a male heir, the line of the house of the Neville, Marquises of Abergavenny will fade away with his death [4] [5] [6] .
April 23, 2000 Christopher George Charles Neville succeeded his uncle, John Henry Guy Neville, 5th Marquis of Abergavenny, who did not leave a male heir. He is a peer of the United Kingdom as the 6th Marquis of Abergavenny and 6th Earl of Lewis and a peer of Great Britain as the 10th Earl of Abergavenny and 10th Viscount Neville [6] .
He currently resides on the Aridge House family estate in Eridge , East Sussex. [4] For some time, Julian Assange was hiding at his estate in Kent, then finding refuge at the Embassy of Ecuador in London [2] .
