Malcolm Todd ( born Malcolm Todd ; November 27, 1939 , Durham - June 6, 2013 , Exeter ) is a British historian and archaeologist.

Biography
Born in a miner family.
He graduated from the University of Wales (Bachelor of Arts in Classics, 1960). Then he studied at Oxford with Ian Richmond for a diploma in classical archeology.
Since 1963, he worked at a museum in Germany for two years.
In 1966-79, a teacher at the University of Nottingham .
In 1979-96, professor of archeology at the University of Exeter , the first in this position.
In 1990-91 Senior Researcher, British Academy
Since 1996, the head of Trevelyan College in Durham and professor at the Department of Archeology.
Since 2000, retired.
He was the editor of the magazine Britannia.
He was a member of the London Society of Antiquaries.
His scientific interests were largely focused on Roman Britain.
