History
The village of Kapshinsky is taken into account by the regional administrative data in the Ereminogorsk village council of the Kapshinsky district from January 1, 1954.
In 1956, the population of the village was 347 people.
In 1958, the population of the village was 307 people.
Since 1963, as part of the Tikhvin region [2] .
According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Kapshinsky was also part of the Ereminogorsk Village Council [3] [4] [5] .
In 1997, 75 people lived in the village of Kapshinsky, Ereminogorsk volost, in 2002 - 52 people (Russians - 94%) [6] [7] .
In 2007, 49 people lived in the village of Kapshinsky Gankovsky JV , in 2010 - 23 [8] [9] .
Geography
The village is located in the northern part of the district near the highway 41A-009 ( Lodeynoye Pole - Tikhvin - Chudovo ).
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 17 km [8] .
The distance to the nearest railway station is Tikhvin - 62 km [3] .
The village is located on the right bank of the Kapsha River.
