Petrokamensky district is an administrative-territorial unit of the Ural and Sverdlovsk regions of the RSFSR that existed in 1923-1931 and 1938-1963. The administrative center is the village of Petrokamenskoye .

Petrokamensky district was formed in 1923 as part of the Verkhotursky (since 1924 - Tagil ) district of the Ural region. In 1930, in connection with the liquidation of the districts, he became directly subordinate to the Ural region.
On June 10, 1931, the Petrokamensky District was abolished, and its territory was transferred to the Nevyansky District .
July 10, 1938 Petrokamensky district was restored. It included the working village of Novoasbest and Bashkarsky, Brodsky, Dryagunovsky, Kaygorodsky, Krasnopolsky, Lugovsky, Mokrousovsky, Murzinsky, Panshinsky, Petrokamensky, Reshevsky, Cheremshansky, Shumikhinsky and Yuzhakovsky village councils, transferred from the city, also administratively, the Lower Town s / s of the Kirovgrad region .
June 18, 1954 Cheremshansky s / s was attached to Petrokamensky, Reshevsky - to Krasnopolsky, Shumikhinsky and Dryagunovsky - to Brodsky, Lugovsky - to Murzinsky.
On February 1, 1963, the Petrokamensky district was abolished, and its territory (Bashkarsky, Brodsky, Byzovsky, Kaygorodsky, Krasnopolsky, Mokrousovsky, Murzinsky, Panshinsky, Petrokamensky and Yuzhakovsky s / s) was transferred to the Nizhny Tagil rural region [1] .
