Reims Aviation

Reims Aviation ( fr. Reims Aviation ) is the now-defunct French aircraft company based in the city of Reims , which recently launched the Reims-Cessna F406 Caravan II aircraft . Reims Aviation was a subsidiary of GECI Aviation [1] .

History

In 1960, a cooperation agreement was signed with the aircraft manufacturer Cessna for the production of light aircraft for the European market. Under the Reims Aviation brand, the company was officially established in Reims in 1962, releasing at that time mainly the FR172 Reims Rocket, a more powerful version of the Cessna 172 . In 1989, Reims Aviation bought out all its shares owned by Cessna and became a privately owned French aircraft manufacturer. By this time, the production of single-engine aircraft was stopped, only F406 remained in production.
