The 772nd Fighter Aviation Regiment ( 772nd IAP ) is a military unit of the Air Force of the Red Army , which took part in the Battle of Moscow during the Great Patriotic War .

Over the entire period of its existence, the regiment changed its name several times:
- 810th Fighter Aviation Regiment ;
- 772th Fighter Aviation Regiment.
Shelf History
In January 1942, the regiment was formed as the 810th fighter aviation regiment in the state 015/174 on I-153 aircraft. On February 6, 1942, the regiment was renamed the 772th Fighter Aviation Regiment. All February, the regiment was staffed by the Air Force of the Moscow Military District. On February 22, 1942, the regiment was transferred to the Air Force of the 61st Army of the Bryansk Front , conducting operations in the Battle of Moscow, and immediately began combat work on I-153 aircraft. By the end of the Battle of Moscow, the regiment included 10 I-153. On May 10, 1942, the regiment was disbanded as part of the Air Force of the 61st Army, and the personnel turned to form 875 separate mixed aviation regiment.
The regiment was part of the army from February 22, 1942 to May 10, 1942 [1] .
