Pshenichnoye (until 1942 - Weizenfeld ; German: Weizenfeld ) - a former village in the Soviet district of the Saratov region , currently the western part of the village of Rozovoe [1] .

The village was in the steppe , within the Syrt Plain , which is part of the East European Plain , on the left bank of the Nakhoi River [2] .

History

It was founded in 1849 as a subsidiary colony of Weizenfeld. The official Russian name is Pshenichnoye (also known as Nakhoi) [1] . As of 1857, the land allotment was 2880 acres (for 67 families) [3] .

In 1862, an independent Lutheran parish Weizenfeld was formed [1] . According to the Samara Provincial Statistics Committee, in 1910 the village had a Lutheran church, a school, a brick factory, 4 windmills [1] .

Since 1921 - as part of the Antonovsky district , since 1922 the Tonkoshurovsky canton (in 1927 it was renamed the Marientalsky canton) of the Labor Commune, since 1923 the Volga Germans Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . During the famine of 1921, 83 people were born, 92 died. In 1926 there were a cooperative shop, two agricultural cooperatives, an agricultural cooperative partnership, an elementary school, an orphanage, and a village council in the village [3] . In 1927, the village of Weizenfeld was renamed [4] .

On August 28, 1941, a Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces on the resettlement of Germans living in the Volga region was issued, the population was deported . The village, like other settlements of the Mariental canton , was included in the Saratov region. Subsequently, it was renamed Pshenichnoye and incorporated into the village of Rozovoye .
