History

The Typographical Bridge is the longest wooden footbridge in Russia. Its length is 555 meters. This fact is confirmed by certificate No. 01133 of conformity received from the Russian Book of Records. [1] [2]

The Kirzhach printing house financed the construction of the bridge, so it was called "Typographic", the opening of the bridge was specially timed to the 85th anniversary of the enterprise - August 6, 2016 [3] [4]

He connected two microdistricts significant for the city: the city center in the area of ul. Gagarin and microdistrict of furniture factory in the area of st. Trunk.

On the "printing" side of the bridge there is a square called "Alexander Garden" with a concert venue, a children's town, walking paths, an artificial pond.

Construction work on the territory was carried out by a team of builders led by the Shershilov brothers. The garden furniture was made by a team of argument-carvers, under the guidance of a hereditary carpenter - Mikhail Ganshin. The wooden sculpture was made by the Kirzhach artist and sculptor Kork Nikolai Nikolaevich - this was his last work. Land improvement was led by Andrei and Anastasia Romanovs.

The printing bridge has become part of the single tourist space of Kirzhach . In addition to it, the complex includes: the museum-park zone β€œSewing Hill” , the military-historical complex β€œRubezh 12”, the observation deck β€œZaychushka” [5] .
