Georgios “George” Papayannis ( Greek Γιώργος Παπαγιάννης ; born July 3, 1997 , Amarusion , Greece ) is a Greek professional basketball player who plays in the center position. The winner of the Greek Cup of 2015 and 2016 as part of the Panathinaikos.

NBA Career
In April 2016, Georgios Papayannis announced his intention to participate in the 2016 NBA draft [1] . It was assumed that he would be selected by draft in the middle of the second round or at the end of the first round [2] . On June 23, 2016, Georgios Papayannis was selected as the 13th Phoenix Suns number and on the same day his rights were exchanged at Sacramento Kings [3] . July 15, 2016 signed a contract with the club "Sacramento Kings" [4] . In 2018 he moved to the Portland Trail Blazers NBA club, in the summer of 2018 he returned to Panathinaikos.
Greece Team
Since 2012, he began to play for the junior teams of Greece.
As part of the Greek national team (under 18 years old) became the champion of Europe.
He also won a bronze medal at the European Championship (under 16 years old) 2013, entering the symbolic team of the tournament and becoming the leader in the number of block shots.
