(782) Montefiore ( Latin Montefiore ) - a small asteroid of the main belt , belonging to the bright spectral class S. It was discovered on March 18, 1914 by the Austrian astronomer Johann Paliz at the Vienna Observatory and named after Arthur Montefiore of the Jackson-Harmsworth expedition [2] .
