Lush Life ( Rus. Chic life ) - the thirteenth studio album of American singer Linda Ronstadt , released in 1984 . He has reached millions of sales and platinum status of the RIAA . The recordings were made with Nelson Riddle , the legendary American big band music arranger , best known for his many years of collaboration with Frank Sinatra . The disc became the second part of the jazz joint trilogy of the singer and composer. Three Grammy Award nominations including Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocals, and Best Recording Package wins. And then there was the 1986 nomination : Grammy Award for Best Female Vocal Pop Performance (where Whitney Houston lost) [3] [4] .

History
The album was released in November 1984 via Elektra Records / Asylum Records . The disc became the second album with platinum status, created jointly with Linda and Nelson Riddle and the 10th disc for Ronstadt with more than a million copies. The album received moderate reviews from music critics and online publications [1] [2] , had commercial success and a circulation of 1 million copies and platinum certification of the RIAA [5] . The album took number 3 position on the Top Jazz Albums chart , in the American Billboard 200 chart, the disc took 13th place [3] [4] .
