For Sentimental Reasons ( Rus. For sentimental reasons ) is the fourteenth studio album by American singer Linda Ronstadt , released in 1986 . It has reached millions of sales and platinum RIAA status. The recordings were made along with Nelson Riddle , the legendary American big-band music arranger , best known for his long-term collaboration with Frank Sinatra . Riddle died during the preparation of the disc, which became the third and final part of the jazz joint trilogy of the singer and composer [3] [4] .

History
The album was released in October 1986 through Elektra Records / Asylum Records . The disc was the third platinum-status album, created in collaboration with Linda and Nelson Riddle and the 11th for the Ronstadt disc with more than a million copies. The album received moderate reviews from music critics and online publications [1] , had commercial success and a circulation of 1 million copies and RIAA platinum certification [5] . The album took the number 3 position in the Top Jazz Albums chart , the Billboard 200 hit the 46th place in the American charts, but stayed in the chart for more than 6 months [3] [4] .
