Biography
She graduated from the Parma Conservatory named after Arrigo Boyto in singing and piano, later - in the music school of Chigi in Siena in chamber singing [1] .
In 1980, she won the first prize at an international competition organized by Italian Television (RAI TV), and made her debut as the Countess in the opera “Maid-Madam” by Italian composer Giovanni Battista Pergolesi .
In 1983 she made her debut at the La Scala theater in the opera “ Everybody Does That ”, later mastered the widest repertoire, including works by many composers, from Monteverdi to Prokofiev [2] .
In July 2016, she announced on her Facebook that for health reasons she was forced to interrupt her performances until October 8, when a concert was to be held in the Loreto Basilica .
She died at the Poliambulanza Medical Center in Brescia after a transient disease [3] .
Has a number of awards: Goffredo Petrassi Prize (2010), Operaclick Award (2009), Varese City Award (2009), Academy of Music Award (Florence 2007) International Tito Schipa Award (2013) Judith Pasta Award.
