Young, Renee

Renee Paquette ( born Renee Paquette ; born September 19, 1985 , Toronto , Ontario ) [1] is a Canadian sports television presenter and actress. She currently works for the World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling federation under the pseudonym Renee Young . Before WWE, she was a commentator on the channel The Score [2] .

Content

The early years

Rene Packett was born on September 19, 1985 in Toronto , Ontario. [3] Her father was a promoter in the WWF Federation (now WWE), but her daughter was not going to connect her life with wrestling. In her early years, she worked as a child model. After graduating from high school, Renee applied to a number of colleges and began to study theater improvisation [4] . At the age of 19, she moved to Los Angeles to begin a comedic career, but eventually returned to Toronto and played several minor roles here in films, music videos and commercials [4] . From 2008 to 2009, Packett worked on the Canadian channel BiteTV where she hosted her own music television show Rippin 'It -N-Lippin [4] .

Professional career

The Score Television Network (☎)

At the end of 2009, Rene began to host a new Aftermath show on The Score Television Network together with Arda Okal , Mauro Ranallo and former WWE judge Jimmy Corderas . The program was devoted to wrestling and quickly gained popularity due to the fact that the leading was a woman, which is unusual for such programs [5] .

WWE (2012 — present)

Immediately after leaving The Score, in October 2012, Packet signed a contract with the professional wrestling federation World Wrestling Entertainment [6] [7] . Here she worked using the stage name Rene Young. Puckett first appeared on the Survivor Series in November 2012 [8] , but only made her screen debut on March 29, 2013 in the SmackDown episode, interviewing Randy Orton , Big Show and Sheymus. [9] Young began to work actively in the company since February 2013 [10] .

In September 2013, Renee starred in the World Tour segment of The JBL and Cole Show on YouTube and the WWE official website, and then became one of the hosts of this program. In June 2015, the last issue was released [11] . Young, along with a member of the Hall of Fame , Gene Okerland , is broadcasting the WWE Vintage Collection .

In September 2013, Renee also made her NXT debut and became a full-time commentator on female fights [4] [12] . From July 3, 2014 to January 9, 2015, Young, along with Tom Phillips, worked as an entertainer for WWE Superstars [13] [14] . In April 2015, WWE Network cable channel aired the first release of its own program, Unfiltered with Renee Young Packet , in which she interviews her colleagues and resellers [15] . In June 2015, Young, along with Chris Jericho , hosted the sixth season of Tough Enough. [16] In 2016, it was announced that Puckett will be part of the main cast of the sixth season of Total Divas . Previously, she appeared in several episodes of this reality show [17] .

On September 10, 2018, it was announced that Rene Young would be a regular commentator on WWE Raw .

Personal life

Since April 9, 2017, Rene has been married to reseller Jonathan Goode, better known by the stage name Dean Ambrose [18] [19] , whom she met 4 years before their wedding [20] .
